Last weekend I did a test shoot with Maggie. She wants to break into modeling and needed some shots, so my friend Joseph and I collaborated and put together a photoshoot. Joseph did all the hair and makeup. Isn’t he amazing! If you want to hire him for some of his brilliance you can find him at the Londoner in Manhatten Beach. And many thanks to our awesome model Maggie… you rock!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Rylie and her family for the second time. It’s only been three months since I’ve seen her last and she’s already crawling around and even standing! And she is such a happy baby, especially when Mommy sings to her – that really gets her laughing. What a joy! I can’t wait to see her again soon. I’m sure at this rate she’ll be walking in no time.

Linda and Mike… A Family Affair

Last Sunday Linda and Mike tied the knot in a very intimate and unique ceremony that was held in their backyard. They shared their day with all their closest family members as well as their K9 friends. This wedding was so beautiful and heartfelt… it was perfect. It was a joyous day for everyone and even a few happy tears were shed. I really love how everyone was incorporated and it really was a family affair. They are all so close and you can see the bond that they all share. It really is moving. Congratulations Linda and Mike and thank you for letting me be a part of such a special day.

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Ian and Nicole’s wedding at The Cree Estate in Cathedral City. This is the perfect place to hold a wedding. It consists of a main house and two guest houses with two pools and two jacuzzis. Their guests were able to come for the whole weekend and stay and never have to leave the pad. Awesome! The ceremony was held on the lawn by the tennis court and then the reception was moved over to the front of the property nestled amongst the palm trees. It was amazing! After the ceremony we were able to go around the property for a bit and grab a few fun shots with the two of them. They are so cute together! They really made my job easy. Congratulations you two!

Annalou and Don at CBS Studios “Red Carpet Style”

Last weekend I shot one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been to. Annalou and Don, who finally decided to tie the knot after 15 years of dating got married at St. Euphrasia in Granada Hills. It was such a beautiful ceremony with all their close friends and family present. After the ceremony everyone went to CBS Studios where the reception was held. That’s right! Right on the lot, on a set, of CBS Studios. It was so unique. The tables were set throughout a street that looked like something out of Desperate Housewives… cute little houses and picket fences. And just around the corner was a faux New York City street… really just tons of cool stuff. And Annalou and Don spared no expense on entertainment. The reception consisted of a live band, a DJ, lion dancers, Polynesian dancers, and her family and friends creating conga lines and dance circles. It was so important to Annalou and Don that everyone had a good time… I don’t think they have to worry about that… mission accomplished! High five you two on a successful throw down and congratulations on your marriage.

On Saturday I photographed my good friend Uri’s wedding. Him and Erica exchanged vows at a beautiful church, St. Augustine in Culver City. Afterwards we took a few fun shots by the beach in Santa Monica and then it was off to the Marina Club for the reception. Uri and Erica were just so happy the whole day. They’re such a sweet and cute couple. I wish them all the best in their future together. Congratulations you two!

A Valentine’s Day Wedding

Last weekend I photographed Kira and Aaron’s wedding on none other that Valentines Day. It was such a beautiful wedding. It was held on the rooftop terrace of the Reef in Long Beach just as the sun was setting. Kira looked amazing in her gown and the wedding party was decked out in black and red to honor the special day. After the ceremony we got to take a few pics on the terrace right at dusk. Long Beach is just gorgeous at this time of day. And so were Kira and Aaron… they’re so cute together!

Last Monday I got to celebrate the 40th birthday of my friend Jen. She held the festivities at the Falcon club on Sunset. And I must say this girl knows how to throw down and party. There were bands playing the entire night, appetizers and cupcakes circling the room, drinks and more drinks, and lots of dancing. What a bash! Happy Birthday Miss Jen!

Laura and Loren at the MOCA

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Laura and Loren’s wedding at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla. This is such a cool place to get married. We were able to use the sculpture garden as well as the breathtaking beach views for photos. They held their ceremony in the auditorium which made it very special and unique. These two are both musicians and even had a special piano performance during their I do’s. What a cool way to tie the knot. And Laura and Loren are so incredibly in love with each other. They were a breeze to photograph… kissing and hugging all day. What a wonderful couple! Congratulations you two.
