The Pyne Family

Today I made the trip down to La Jolla to meet and photograph the Pyne Family. Molly and Sarah who live here, don’t get to see their cousins, Emily and Anna very often since they live in Buffalo.  So when they came to visit for Spring break it proved to be the perfect opportunity to document these girls being together.  We had so much fun playing in the tide pools and on the beach.  You had to be fast to keep up with these girls.  They love to scale the rocks and search for sea anemones and play with the baby crabs.   How fun!  Today really brought me back to the days of being a young kid and playing in the sun without a care.  I gotta say, I love my job!  And I really love some of the shots I got today.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Rachel and Kevin

On Saturday I met Rachel and Kevin in Echo Park to photograph their engagement session.  I had never photographed at Echo Park Lake before so I was really excited to have some new scenery to work with. This spot really has a lot of fun options with the beautiful park setting contrasted with an urban flair.  It really was a lot of fun.  And I love that Rachel and Kevin were playful and really got into the photos. They were up for anything I suggested.  Once we wrapped the lake we headed to Santa Monica Pier where we brazed some pretty fierce winds.  Rachel certainly is no bridezilla.  I don’t know of any other bride that could handle mother nature’s gusty blows with such ease.  What a trooper!  Unfortunate weather or not we still got some really great shots and had a great time doing it.  Check out some of my favorites from the day.

Pacific Life

I recently had the opportunity to take some corporate photos for Pacific Life Insurance.  I took a couple shots of some of the top executives as well as a few of a car for one of their company ads.  It was a nice change of pace and a fun challenge to photograph a car.  Here are a few of the photos chosen.

A Marvelous Night!

Last Wednesday I was pleased to be a part of a fun filled benefit for the independent film, “A Marvelous Life”.   It was held at The Colony Theatre in Burbank and was a marvelous night of theatre, song and dining. I had a fun backdrop set up where guests could come and have there photo taken.  And I must say this crowd really hammed it up and had fun with the opportunity.  I had such a great time and all for a great cause.  For more information on the film please visit  http://www.amarvelouslife.com.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Seth and Doug Tie The Knot

Last Saturday I had the great pleasure to photograph Seth and Doug’s wedding in Downtown Los Angeles.  We started the day at The Disney Concert Hall.  I love shooting here!  There are so many options with the amazing architecture and sculpted garden.   You can really get creative at this location.  Once we wrapped up the Concert Hall we headed over to the Music Center and then on to the Water Court.  Downtown is so much fun to explore and shoot.  It really seems like the photo opts are endless.  Seth and Doug’s ceremony was held at the Los Angeles Athletic Center.  The space was amazing and every detail was coordinated by Seth himself… Kudos to a job well done!  The ceremony and reception were beautifully designed with red and brown hues and flawless red lighting.  It was absolutely awesome!  I’m so glad I was able to part of such a special day.  Congratulations you two!
