Last week I went over to the Kaplan’s house to grab a few pics of Sophie and the rest of the family… including their dog Howie. Even Grandma and Grandpa were in town and got in on the action. Sophie was so fun to photograph… she loves to look right into the camera and she loves to lay on her back and laugh. What a cute and happy baby!

Recently I was asked to shoot a few interior shots of the Pomme Bebe Store in Newport Beach. This store is absolutely the coolest. They specialize in fresh organic baby food which is delicious. Trust me, I tried it! They also sell some pretty unique baby toys and other fun gifts. So if you’re ever in the Newport Beach area be sure to stop in and check it out.

On Saturday I met Annalou and Don in Old Town Pasadena to shoot their engagement photos. We were worried that it was going to rain but we got lucky and the rain held out. We had nice overcast lighting to work with all day… it was fabulous! We explored some alley ways and brick walls keeping it very urban. Then we headed over to Alverno High School for a little Italian villa flare. This place is one of my favorite locations to shoot. It’s just too gorgeous for words… and so were Annalou and Don. They were such the perfect subjects working it the whole day. Thanks for the fun day you two. Looking forward to seeing you again in March.

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Rylie for the first time. She arrived 4 months ago healthy and happy. She’s such a bundle of joy. During the shoot she was smiling and laughing and scooting herself across the floor…. absolutely too cute! And she loved it when Mommy held her up in the air. We got some big laughs with that move. Congratulations Rachel and Kevin on the new addition to your family… she’s beautiful.

Recently I shot some family photos of one of my close friends Nikki and her family. We met at the Disney Concert Hall in downtown LA and had a blast. These three are so fun loving and goofy and get along so well. They were all cracking up constantly and thinking of foolish things to do… that’s my kind of photo shoot! Love you guys! Today I stopped by to see the Daly Family and take their holiday portrait. What a beautiful family! Little Beatrice just keeps getting cuter and cuter if that’s even possible. Such a sweetheart! Check out a few favorites below.
On Saturday I photographed Lissette and Ted’s wedding in Hacienda Heights. Lissette got ready at her parents’ house which was so wonderful. She had her whole family there to help her and there were even a few pre-ceremony tears shed over how beautiful she looked. Once at the ceremony a gorgeous mass was performed that also included their family and friends with readings and song. Afterwards, we had a little time to get some fun shots of the two of them around the church. They made my job easy because they were all smiles and so obviously crazy about each other. Then it was off to the reception which was held at The Westridge Golf Club in La Habra. It was a throw down party with Mariachi’s, a DJ, and a live band. Now these two know how to have a good time. Congratulations!

On Sunday I participated in a fundraiser for a local school, Larchmont Charter West Hollywood. I photographed seven family portraits that day with more than half the proceeds going to benefit the school. I always enjoy helping out in the community and especially contributing to children’s education. And not to mention I had a blast meeting all the families… what a pleasure! On Sunday I went over to the Staat’s home for their yearly portrait session. I’ve been photographing them for the past three years but this year was a little different because they have a new addition to their family… little Jake. Jake is 3 months old and has the best big sister a guy could ask for… Payton. She loves her little brother so much and wants to hold him all the time. They’re so cute! On Saturday I met up with Leslie and Damon in Burbank to photograph their wedding. Leslie got ready at the Holiday Inn in Burbank and looked so beautiful. She was absolutely glowing when I arrived… She was gorgeous! For photos, Leslie and Damon decided to see each other before the ceremony so we were able to get a lot of fun shots in the courtyard at the hotel. We had lots of lush greenery and amazing light to play with. Afterwards we headed to the First Christian Church of Burbank for the ceremony. The ceremony was dimly lit with accents of candle light… it was breathtaking. And these two exchanged some of the sweetest vows I’ve ever heard… just so sweet. Then it was time to move on to the reception which was held at La Canada Flintridge Country Club. This place has 180 degree view of the valley below that’s spectacular. It was the perfect place for a throw down night. And that’s exactly what everyone did… What a great party! Congratulations you two and aloha!
